Success is not a moment in time. Success is a work in progress. 52 years in any profession is a long time. In November of this year I will have been in the beauty industry for 52 years. I am very proud of my contributions and our company’s achievements. We are recognized in our industry to be among the top 1% of the salons on Earth. Our company has received many accolades over the years. They include Columbus Alive – “Best Hair Salon in Columbus”, Elle – “The best place in Ohio for a makeover”, W – “Best fashion salon”, Vogue – “Best Colorist”, Day Spa – “One of the 12 best spas in the country”, The Consumer’s Choice Award for business excellence, and 614 Magazine – “Best salon and day spa for 2013”. These are just a few.

We have a wonderful training program that requires all staff members to go through a rigid program of approximately 1 year. After going through beauty school to be licensed by the state, all staff members are given constant education to update them on any new products and services that are introduced throughout the years.

I am, and always have been, devoted to taking Kenneth’s to a different level in all aspects of the beauty business. About 3 and a half years ago, while doing some soul searching, I asked myself ‘What is the missing link? What does our company and the salon industry need?’ It came to mind that many companies and industries talk about world class service and few really try to provide it. At that moment I decided to take Kenneth’s to a new level of salon service that no other salon had done before. An organized Journey during your salon visit will include quality service in an organized manner, every salon visit.

I sent my operations manager to study with the Ritz Carlton group, the Disney organization and a group called Secret Service Summit. All my managers were trained by a group called “Inspiring Champions” to be able to coach our staff members as to how to implement our exceptional service.

Lastly, we studied and surveyed the needs, questions and concerns of our salon clients during their visit to make sure that the main purpose for them being in our salons and spas (to look and feel better) was covered.

Starting this September our training will be complete. You will notice our mission will be complete. We will introduce the Kenneth’s Journey, our promise of excellent salon service to you. Not only will we continue to be at the top of the art of cut and color, we will introduce the art of listen. I’m sure you will appreciate and enjoy it.
