From its inception, founder Kenneth Anders was committed to creating the best experience possible through a continual development of people, skillsets, and service delivery systems. Through this diligence, Kenneth's now proudly offers 10 locations to conveniently care for the communities we serve.

Our Education Leadership

Tony Anders - Vice President of Education

Tony Anders began his career as a hairstylist in 1987 inspired from years of watching his father, Kenneth Anders, create one of the country’s leading hair salon and spa organizations. Along with his father, his mentors taught him the importance of continuing education and personal development to ensure success in this industry.

Accompanying his attention to his loyal client following, Tony also worked as a platform artist/educator, photo session stylist, television personality, and speaker allowing him to travel nationally and globally exposing him to some of the industry's top talent and trainers. Tony has been fortunate to achieve many awards and recognitions both locally and internationally for his styling, publishing, and leadership contributions.

Currently, Tony is Vice President of Education for Kenneth's Hair Salons and Day Spas in Columbus, Ohio focusing all his attention on the development of new talent embarking on a cosmetology career. His goal is to create great systems of success, and a formidable team to help drive through the principles that elevate one's craft and lifestyle.

Amy McLain - Director of Spa Education

Amy McLain has been in the beauty industry for over 25 years. She began her career in college doing makeup artistry for Lancome cosmetics in the greater Cincinnati area. After college, she decided to continue in the industry she had become so inspired by. During her time with Lancome she held positions from counter manager where she was able to grow the businesses to be very successful. She attributed this to her passion for education and was promoted to Account coordinator within the Columbus market.

With a deep passion for skincare, Amy decided to go back to school and obtain her license as an esthetician in 2004 and began working for Kenneth's Salons and Day Spas in 2005. With her experience in training and development, Amy became the Director of Esthetics and is now the Director of Spa Education. Her experience in sales and the esthetics field has led her to also being a Key Opinion Leader for leading skincare companies like HydroPeptide.

She still works behind the chair a few days a week to keep up with the ever-changing field while also balancing her role as Director of Spa Education. She is consistently researching new cutting-edge products and services to keep Kenneth's staying as a leader in the industry. Her ever-evolving training program is highly sought after within the esthetics community, and she is recognized as being one of the best in central Ohio.

Stephanie Botamer - Director of Nail Education

Stephanie Botamer has been a licensed Nail Technician since 1994. For the last 18 years, she has been a technician for Kenneth's Salons and Day Spas. During that time, she has held the role of Director of Nail Education.

Stephanie developed the training program used to educate the new techs that are hired into Kenneth's nail department. She oversees and researches the products used in our services and the home care items we provide to our clients. Stephanie also is tasked with continually observing trends that affect our training systems as well as ones that inspire our current technicians and their ability to remain relevant to our ever-growing client base.

Stephanie has been integral in introducing many skills and products to Kenneth's nail staff and clients. Among those are Erica's on E-file training, Footlogix pedicure products, and Gelish for Powder Dip and Soft Gel Extension services to name a few, thus elevating our technician's ability to provide exemplary nail spa services to our clients.
